When should I arrive for my spa services?

Guests may arrive up to 30 minutes early to their spa appointment to change into a robe and sandals and enjoy our amenities.

For 10:00am appointments, we open our doors at 9:45am to allow guests adequate time to change.

If you are booking an appointment at the end of our business day, we ask that you use our amenities ahead of your appointment. We close the building promptly at our advertised business hours.

What amenities do you have?

We offer water, sparkling water, tea and coffee, as well as light snacks. We also have razors, combs, hair ties, face and body lotion, mouthwash, shampoo, conditioner, hair styling products and tools, and shower caps for guests to use.

Do you have locker rooms?

We have separate mens and womens locker rooms with lockers to lock up your personal belongings. The locker rooms also feature rainfall showers and a dry sauna.

What is your sanctuary space?

Our sanctuary is a unisex space for spa guests to relax before and after services. This comfy room hosts a large couch, comfy chairs, and a warm fireplace to relax next to while reading your favorite magazine. We also have beverages and granola bars to enjoy.

What is the etiquette in the sanctuary and spa?

We ask that guests refrain from talking on their phones and using personal computers in the spa and sanctuary space. We want to ensure these spaces are quiet and relaxing for all guests. We ask that guests keep conversations and voices at a low volume out of respect for others.

What are the age requirements?

For all spa services, guests must be at least 18 years of age to receive a massage or facial service.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for a 24-hour notice to cancel, rebook, or alter your appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged 100% of the service total. This is out of respect for not only the business, but our talented service providers.

Where is Ape + Canary located?

We are located at 566 East Ave. We are a small brick building with our own parking lot in front of our building and two additional parking spaces behind our building. Street parking is also available. Our front door faces the Strathallan Hotel front door and lobby for reference.

Can we bring in food or snacks?

We do not allow outside alcohol or food to be brought into the sanctuary space or waiting rooms.

What can you offer to groups coming in?

We are happy to welcome your group to our spa and you are more than welcome to use the locker rooms and sanctuary space. We ask that groups be mindful of noise out of respect for other guests using the common spaces. Each person in the group must be booked for a service.

What kind of nail services do you offer?

We are a natural nail salon offering nail polish, gel, and Dazzle Dry manicures and pedicures. We do not remove acrylic, gel extensions, or dip powder. Please let the front desk know at booking if you are coming in with gel polish on your fingers or toes, as more time is needed to remove this product at an additional fee.

What are the booking requirements?

We are an appointment-only salon and spa. All booked appointments must have a client profile with a valid phone number, email, and credit card on file. We reserve the right to cancel your appointment if services are booked without valid contact and credit card.
